I've been working hard on a rather large (18" x 24") autumn painting and didn't want to wait much longer before listing another painting on eBay. So, yesterday I whipped this one up and listed it last night.
This moist yellow cupcake is topped with fluffy turquoise, piped frosting. White buttercream dots are applied as a finishing touch. This cute little cupcake sits atop it's own little ornate black cakestand and is covered with a glass cloche. A black and white check bow is tied around the glass knob. The letters "Dreamy" are dripping with frosting.
Have a great weekend everyone! I may have to go and make some cupcakes.

ReplyDeleteHi Cathie :)
ReplyDeleteI love that painting.
I finally got my piece of your work in the mail and I have it on my desk for now, until I find a place to hang it. I love it so much! The stories make them so special :)

I LOVE the new look of your site. So pretty, Cathie. This painting is simply adorable! It reminds me of the pictures on Melissa's site, The Inspired Room. Melissa and her daughters made cupcakes for her daughter's wedding and they looked just like yours! So cute!

ReplyDeleteHi Catherine, I really love your dreamy cupcake...looks so delicious!!! This really is a very large canvas, love the gallery style canvases myself...they are so wonderful because you don't need a frame. Just beautiful work as always. I'm sure this one will find a new home soon.

I love how your description of "just whipping up" this one! I sure wish I could whip like that! I see the detail and shading and think it would take me much longer than a quick whip to get it done! Another great piece of art!
ReplyDeleteSo cute and so dreamy, Cathie! Love it.
