I couldn't believe it got down in the 40's last night. I had to plug in my little space heater for a little bit today because I can't paint when my hands are shaking. Therefore, due to this cooler weather I decided to do a winter scene today. I forgot how much fun it is to paint snow. It's like drizzling frosting here and there!
"Godliness" was listed on eBay this evening.
This little 4 inch x 4 inch painting is one of a series of paintings that I started last year. The difference is that these will be painted on box style canvas instead of the tiny wood pieces. These paintings will incorporate words from the Bible and their meaning from the Bible Concordance. This information will be included in a certificate of authenticity which accompanies the painting.
The picture makes me wish for snow. I just love your paintings.
ReplyDeleteI think you should have your characters bound into a book where we can all read more about them. I love the glimpses into their cozy lives.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful winter painting, Cathie. The weather has certainly cooled this week!
ReplyDeleteCathie, this painting is so sweet. You are so sweet. Thank you for always leaving me the nicest notes on my blog. Your words truly warm my heart. I feel very lucky to have met you.

I love the snow, we didn't have snow here in the Uk until easter this year - but we can still hope for that white Christmas! (The only time I can ever remember a white xmas was my son's first, he was six months old. Although he can't remember now, it seemed really special to us!) It's been really cold here the last two weeks, with a wind coming down from the arctic - it feels like autumn all of a sudden!
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful and I love the precious story that goes with the painting. You can just feel the love.
ReplyDeleteI am not quite ready for winter yet but if I were I'd like it be in a cozy cottage such as the one you painted and blanketed in with snow while being warmed with a thankful heart!
ReplyDelete40! Yikes! It is just dropping towards the 70's here and still quite green. We have got to make a trip further north to see that fall really is here!
Have a wonderful week!
You make winter so lovely!!
ReplyDeleteIts darling! Completely captures the serenity of that first snow.
ReplyDeleteWhat a super painting Cathie! We had frost on the pumpkin last night too! BRRRRRRRRR!

Lovely! I wish we got snow like that where I live!
ReplyDeleteI love these new little paintings with words of faith on them!
