Yesterday I was flipping through the pages of an old album I had put together of some of the work I had done in homes for clients. I had completely forgotten about this one and I thought I'd share it with you. I painted this in the music room above their built in storage cabinets. You can click on the photos for a closer view. Enjoy the rest of your Sunday!
What a lovely idea...it looks fantastic and I bet they have no plans to ever paint the wall.

Cathie, the banner is gorgeous. What a wonderful room!
ReplyDeleteCatherine,
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by. I thought I'd pop over and tell you that I won't have to totally give up the headboard! We have dismantled it and the hand painted panels as well as the top piece will be used in constructing the new old bed!
I can't match the under coating of green paint because they don't use that tint any more so I may just go with ivory or I may paint it white and antique it down with a fruitwood gel stain. I think either will look OK what do you think?
My plan is to use two old columns that a friend gave me when her porch was redone as the bed posts. I am still in the sketching stage and hope it warms a bit so my husband can get at the construction soon. I am a little tired of my pillow dropping off the edge or getting cold from the window sill!
Have a great day!
Lovely blog ....had fun reading some of your posts. I found your blog through Miss Sandy's : )
ReplyDeleteI used to be a decorative art teacher too so I really enjoyed seeing your work. Love your style!
