Snowman Print Giveaway

It's finally finished!

I won't be selling the original until sometime in the fall and will announce that on my blog.

Put on your thinking caps and help me come up with a title for this new snowman painting.  Leave your title in a comment on this post and the lucky winner with the best creative title will receive an 8 x 10 inch print of this winter scene.  If I don't receive a title that works, I will simply draw names to decide the winner.  You have until Friday evening at midnight central time to enter.

Memorial Day

Whether you are celebrating with family, at a park, at the lake, or beachside, let's take time to say a prayer for our fallen heroes and remember the sacrifices they and their families have made for us.

Snowman Painting Party continued....

My heart is breaking for the people of Oklahoma.  You are in my prayers.  

I'm hoping to finish this painting today or tomorrow and will get our  "title" contest started.

It's a Snowman Party in May

Two more houses are being added in the front between the snowmen.  I'm working on them right now, but wanted to give you another sneak peek.  

I will be having a "giveaway" as soon as I finish this painting.  An 8" x 10" print will be given to the reader with the best title for this painting.

Snowman Painting Continued....

I get up early in the morning pulling weeds and planting flowers, then come inside and paint snow.  How strange is that?

If you look closely at the bottom of the painting you can see two more houses to be painted and a snowman family.

Last week I had to stop working on my snowman painting long enough to paint this design again.  I didn't have a high resolution image to send to the Farmer's Almanac for a 2015 calendar.   So, if you missed the chance to purchase the painting the last time it will once again be available on eBay this week.  I will add the link once the auction is up and running.

Day Dreaming of Spring

I decided to take this picture of our dogwood tree from our bedroom window this morning before the snow zapped the blooms.

I'm glad I did because the snow has arrived.  

Hope my hostas and all my other flowering plants come out it and aren't destroyed.

May Day Painting

What has started out as a perfectly beautiful May day is about to turn into a winter storm headed this way.  Therefore, in honor of the snow that is about to hit us this week here is my new "May Day" painting..... just kidding around (about the painting not the snow).

I've been busy learning the ins and outs of my Apple computer and Photoshop CS6,  but wanted to share the start of my new "Snowman" painting".  

You are welcome to follow along with the progress as I add lots more snow people (politically corrected), children, houses, and whatever else I can fit into this 16 x 20 canvas.

Maybe we can even have a print giveaway if I can get some help with the title of this painting.  So, get your thinking caps on and stayed tuned as this painting progresses.  

I would like the title to have the politically incorrect word, Snowman, in it if at all possible.
